Harvest
The exact time to harvest peaches is determined by the cultivar, but they are generally harvested from August to September. Colour is a good indicator of ripeness. Peaches are ripe when the colour of the fruit changes from green to yellow.
Storage
The use of appropriate storage technology is indispensable to slow down the ripening process of the fruit and prevent a sudden decline in quality standards. Special cold rooms with a high cooling capacity and a forced ventilation system around 0°C are used.
The certifications
Discover all the quality certifications for the cultivation of the vine for I.G.P. table grapes from Canicattì, a process that fully respects the environment and its sustainability.
Organic compliance certificate
We cultivate our grapes, both with and without seeds, using the organic method and employing only natural products, in compliance with organic standards. To ensure maximum transparency and quality, we rely on a certifying body that follows the entire certification process.
International Featured Standards (IFS)
These represent a set of quality standards covering eight specific areas, applicable to both the food and non-food sectors. These standards regulate all stages of the supply chain, ensuring that products meet the highest safety and quality criteria. The adoption of IFS is a fundamental requirement for the marketing of fruit and vegetable products in Europe, ensuring that consumers receive safe, high-quality products.
Global G.A.P. protocol
GlobalGap is the voluntary certification of fresh fruit and vegetable production (application field "Cultivations" – subfield "Fruits and Vegetables") for the adoption of environmentally and health-conscious techniques.
